The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has coordinated relevant stakeholders ahead of the distribution of relief materials to disaster-affected households in Ekiti State.

The exercise involved the inspection of food, non-food and livelihood support items at NEMA’s Ekiti Operations Office and the Ekiti State Emergency Management Agency’s warehouse in Ado-Ekiti.

NEMA’s Head of Operations, Kazeem Olanrewaju, said beneficiary profiling had been completed, while physical verification was introduced to promote transparency and accountability in the distribution process.

The intervention also includes five tricycles to support beneficiaries’ livelihoods.

The distribution was scheduled to be officially flagged off on Wednesday, October 28, in the presence of the state’s Deputy Governor.
