ADO-EKITI RING ROAD WINS INTERNATIONAL AWARD, EARNS AFRICAN BANKER NOMINATION

May 25, 2026

The Ado-Ekiti Ring Road project has received international recognition after winning the Best Project Bond award at the EMEA Finance Achievement Awards and securing a nomination for the Infrastructure Deal of the Year at the prestigious African Banker Awards.

The recognition highlights the growing reputation of the project as one of the leading infrastructure financing initiatives at the sub-national level in Nigeria. The project is being executed through what officials described as a smart and transparent financing model aimed at delivering a world-class ring road network without placing excessive financial pressure on the state’s future.

The road project is expected to improve connectivity across communities, stimulate economic activities, and support local businesses within Ekiti State. Government officials described the achievement as a reflection of visionary leadership and a demonstration that Ekiti State can compete globally in innovation, infrastructure development, and good governance.
