EKITI GOVT URGES CALM, BEGINS INVESTIGATION INTO REPORTED OBNOXIOUS ODOUR

The Ekiti State Government has called for calm among residents and assured the people of its commitment to protecting lives and property while ensuring their safety and well-being.
The State Commissioner for Information, Rt. Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists, saying the government had commenced coordinated investigations, inspections and surveillance across locations where reports of an obnoxious odour had been received.
According to the commissioner, the measures are part of efforts by the state government to identify the source of the odour and address any environmental nuisance associated with the situation.
Olatunbosun urged residents to remain calm and cooperate with relevant authorities as investigations continue.
He assured residents that the government would continue to monitor the situation and take appropriate measures to safeguard public health, lives and property.
