Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has reacted to comments made by Peter Obi in a recent interview , where Obi pledged to serve only one term if elected president for the sake of national stability.

In the interview, Obi criticised the Tinubu administration over borrowing, insecurity, and food policies, alleging worsening poverty and insecurity in the country. He also claimed Nigeria had become “the hungriest country in the world” and faulted the government’s handling of crises affecting farmers and food production.

Obi further argued that Nigeria’s leadership needed urgent change, while Onanuga’s response on social media defended the administration and pushed back against the opposition candidate’s claims.
