OYEBANJI RE-ELECTED EKITI GOVERNOR, MAKES HISTORY WITH SECOND ELECTED TERM

Governor Biodun Oyebanji of the APC has been re-elected as Ekiti State Governor after winning Saturday’s governorship election with 319,224 votes. INEC declared him winner ahead of PDP candidate Dr. Wole Oluyede, who scored 40,543 votes, and ADC’s Dare Bejide, who polled 12,872 votes, making Oyebanji the first governor in the state’s history to secure two consecutive elected terms.
Speaking after the announcement, Oyebanji dedicated the victory to God, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the people of Ekiti State. He described the result as a vote of confidence in his administration and pledged to intensify efforts in delivering people-oriented policies and good governance.
