OYEBANJI URGES EKITI YOUTHS TO LEVERAGE EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMMES

Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has urged youths in the state to take advantage of various youth-oriented programmes and initiatives of his administration designed to empower them, develop their skills and improve their economic prospects.
The governor encouraged young people to harness the opportunities provided through the government’s empowerment initiatives to acquire relevant skills, establish sustainable businesses and become employers of labour.
Oyebanji said the active participation of youths in economic activities would enable them to contribute meaningfully to the overall development of Ekiti State.
According to a statement by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Yinka Oyebode, the governor, represented by the Commissioner for Youth Development, Gold Adedayo, made the remarks during the International Youth Day Summit organised by the National Youth Council of Nigeria.
The summit was held to commemorate the 2026 International Youth Day.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to creating opportunities for young people and equipping them with the skills and support needed to become productive contributors to the state’s economy.
