July 07, 2026
Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, on Monday paid a courtesy visit to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in the June 20 governorship election, Ambassador Dare Bejide, at his residence in Ado-Ekiti. The visit was part of the governor's efforts to engage all contestants in the election and seek their support and contributions toward the development of the state.
Governor Oyebanji, accompanied by his Special Adviser on Political Matters, Chief Jide Awe, was received by Ambassador Bejide. During the meeting, both leaders discussed issues relating to the growth and development of Ekiti State, emphasizing the need for collaboration in advancing the state's progress.
The visit comes after Governor Oyebanji fulfilled a similar promise to visit the PDP governorship candidate, Dr. Wole Oluyede, following the announcement of the election results. The governor said the initiative reflects his administration's commitment to inclusive governance, unity, peace, and cooperation as essential pillars for sustainable development in Ekiti State.
