YSJ CEO SAYS HER PETITION LED TO APC ASPIRANT OLAWUNMI’S ARREST

July 23, 2026

The Chief Executive Officer of YSJ Limited, Yemisi Joluwe, has confirmed that she petitioned the Inspector General of Police, leading to the arrest of Ekiti State APC governorship aspirant, Abimbola Olawunmi. Joluwe alleged that the petition was based on claims of blackmail, harassment, intimidation and threats to her life.

Speaking with journalists in Ado-Ekiti, Joluwe said she sought legal action after exhausting other means of resolving the issue. She alleged that Olawunmi published her personal phone number, home and office addresses, which exposed her to repeated calls, harassment and threats.

Joluwe also accused Olawunmi of being linked to alleged kidnapping incidents involving some of her farm workers, claiming she had evidence to support her allegations. She urged the Ekiti State Government not to interfere in the matter, insisting that she should be allowed to seek justice through due process.
