NGX MARKET CAP RISES BY N1.18TN AS BULLISH MOMENTUM CONTINUES

The Nigerian Exchange, NGX, sustained its bullish momentum on Thursday, September 17, 2026, as investors gained approximately N1.18 trillion following broad-based buying interest across major stocks.

The market capitalisation of listed equities rose to N159.9 trillion from N158.71 trillion recorded in the previous trading session.

Trading activity also increased significantly during the session, with investors exchanging 1.1 billion shares in 54,026 deals, representing about twice the volume recorded a day earlier.

Meanwhile, the NGX All-Share Index, ASI, advanced to 246,315.38 points from 244,791.79 points in the previous session.

The gains reflected sustained buying interest across major stocks as the equities market continued its positive performance.
