OYEBANJI INSPECTS FLOOD-AFFECTED AREAS, PROMISES SWIFT INTERVENTION

September 30, 2026

Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has inspected areas affected by recent flooding in Ado-Ekiti and assured residents of swift government intervention.

Heavy rainfall triggered flooding across parts of the state capital, affecting roads, homes, businesses and other properties.

Oyebanji urged residents to remain vigilant and avoid crossing flooded roads and waterways as rainfall continues.

The state government said it has invested over N1.18 billion in flood-control measures since 2023, including dredging waterways, desilting drainage channels and removing blockages.

Authorities are continuing to assess the damage and strengthen measures to prevent further flooding.
