Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, says his administration has remained faithful to its budget promises over the past four years, attributing the achievements to requests gathered from residents during pre-budget town hall meetings.

Oyebanji stated this on Thursday at a stakeholders’ meeting in Aramoko-Ekiti, held as part of preparations for the 2027 budget.

The governor also disclosed that the state, in partnership with the World Bank through the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project, RAAMP, is targeting 1,500 kilometres of roads across Ekiti to ease transportation challenges.

He said 235 kilometres of roads are expected to be delivered in the third phase of the project after the rainy season.

Oyebanji said his administration had renovated 110 primary healthcare centres and would continue to improve grassroots healthcare.

He added that efforts were underway to address flooding and gully erosion in Efon, Aramoko and Ado-Ekiti, while commending traditional rulers for their role in improving security through intelligence gathering and vigilance.

Stakeholders from Ado, Ekiti West, Irepodun/Ifelodun, Ijero and Efon Local Government Areas commended the administration for its resource management and support for Local Council Development Areas.

They also requested more roads, improved electricity, healthcare and ambulance services, erosion control, potable water and additional public secondary schools in the 2027 budget.
